What I do

Pitched roofs are the job, and slate, tile and lead are the materials. Big or small, you get the same care.

Slate roofs

Repairs, replacement slates and full re-roofs, done neatly and fixed properly.

Plain and interlocking tiles

Slipped, cracked or missing tiles replaced, and full strip and re-tile jobs on clay and concrete.

Lead work

Flashings, soakers, abutments and back gutters. Lead done right keeps the water out for decades.

Chimneys

Re-leading, flaunching and repointing, and fixing the damp that leaky chimney leadwork causes.

Ridges, verges and hips

Blown or loose ridge tiles, wet verge to dry verge, and hip repairs.

Valleys and leaks

Tracking down the leak, then clearing and re-laying valleys so it stays fixed.

Flat roofs

Torch-on felt systems for extensions, garages and flat sections.

Strip and re-tile

New breathable membrane, new battens, and your roof back on, tidy and watertight.

Hi, I'm Tom

I grew up in Nether Stowey and live in Wembdon, so this is my patch. I've been roofing for 5 years and I love the job.

What I care about is the detail. Straight cuts, tidy lead, clean valleys, a roof that looks right from the road and keeps you dry. It's the stuff you only notice when it's done badly.

It's just me, so you deal with me directly from the first phone call to the last tile. I'll tell you what needs doing, what doesn't, and what it'll cost before I start.
